This painting is about Fred Isham’s plan to trailer the last four Native Ponies from Northwestern Ontario across the ice to Minnesota by the light of the moon. The four men were Fred Isham, Wally Olsen, Omar Hide and Walter Saatela. Fred felt they were special ponies even though they were thought to be Mustangs.
